Celebrating the 4th of July in Myrtle Beach | Fourth of July Fireworks Along the Grand Strand

So you decided to vacation along the Grand Strand for the 4th of July holiday, now
what? Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas offer many events and things to do
to make your Independence Day celebration memorable. From watching the boat
parade in Murrells Inlet to fireworks at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach,
below you will find information on many of the Fourth of July activities to
make your Independence Day memorable.
Pawleys Island
- Pawleys Island 4th of July parade.
Murrells Inlet
- Murrells Inlet - Don't miss the Murrells Inlet boat parade, this year the parade starts at 1pm. There will be many decorated boats that will be cruising the creek for the Murrells Inlet Boat parade. Get out early as the boat parade attracts a large crowd each year. Murrells Inlet also has one of the larger firework shows along the Grand Strand that will start this year at 10pm. Grab a spot along the wonderful Murrells Inlet Marshwalk to take in the fireworks display.
Garden City
- Garden City does not offer any type of fireworks display. If you would like to take in the Murrells Inlet fireworks from a less crowded area, Gulf Stream Cafe offers some great food and one of the best views overlooking Murrells Inlet.
- Sufside Beach offers entertainment starting at 6pm in the pier parking lot. Concessions available are hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and drinks. Free ice cream and watermelon(while they last) Free giveaways with the fireworks beginning at 9:15pm.
Myrtle Beach
- Market Common Myrtle Beach - Saturday July 3, 2010 - Sunday July, 4 2010 | Beginning at 11am come enjoy the Italian Festival and Independence Day celebration. Celebrate Independence Day with Italian food, live music, and crafts. Fireworks display will begin at 9pm on July 4th.
- Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach - Featuring a fair like atmosphere with loads of family fun. Enjoy fireworks with family and friends both July 3 and July 4th starting at 8pm.
- Myrlte Beach Pelicans will have a home game on July 4, 2010 with a fireworks display following the game.
- Second Avenue Pier in Myrlte Beach will have a fireworks display starting at 9:30pm.
North Myrtle Beach
- Cherry Grove pier will have a fireworks display beginning at 9pm. Many have called this fireworks display one of the biggest and best fireworks display along the Grand Strand.
- Barefoot Landing will celebrate the 4th od July with a fireworks sho starting at 10;15pm. There will also be entertainers featuring Kids Karaoke, The Stilt Man, clowns, face painters, and balloon artists located throughout Barefoot Landing from 7-11pm. There is also a Kids Zone, that features Euro Bungee, Rock Wall, Mechanical Bull, Carousel, and much more located in the Lakeview Courtyard.
Where will I be? We usually spend the day in Murrells Inlet boating, take in the boat parade, and then watch the fireworks display. This year we will staying around the house as we are expecting a new addition to our family by July 1. Have a safe and joyous Independence Day celebration. Me and my cousin went tp myrtle beach, and watched the fireworks over the beach, in 2010. it was amazing. And me and my cousin got taped. by a myrtle beach news reporter and got on the myrtle beach news. it was my first time in myrtle beach, and i LOVED it. :) and i would love to go back again!
